Storage

Fortune Pearl Rice 5kg bags are very easy to store, all you need to do is keep your Fortune Fu Lin Men Rice in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

How to Cook

Pour your Fortune Pearl Rice into a large bowl and add enough cold water to cover the rice by 6 to 8 centimetres. Soak for at least 4 hours, and preferably up to 12 hours before cooking. This softens the rice kernels and ensures that steam can penetrate the surface of each kernel so every grain is thoroughly cooked.

When your Fortune Pearl Rice has soaked for an appropriate time pour water into a steamer pot to a depth of about 4 centimetres. Place the steamer rack into the pot and place the steamer on a high heat until the water has reached boiling point.

Drain the water that the rice has soaked in and add the drained Fortune Fu Lin Men Rice into a mesh colander or the top portion of your steamer. This can be done with any steamer but traditionally a bamboo steamer would be used.

Cover the pot and steam 30 minutes until the rice is snowy white then serve.
